X-Ray

X-ray, also known as “radiography” is a quick and painless test that produces images of the structure inside your body, particularly your bones.

An X-ray is amongst the oldest and most frequent forms of medical imaging.

An X-ray is often the first test you get if you have a health concern.

Some of the reasons we may need an X-ray include:
· trouble breathing
· stomach pain
· joint pain

Before an X-ray, you may be asked to remove any jewellery, clothing, or objects that could interfere with the image. You may also need to wear a hospital gown.

It is important that you advise us if you may be pregnant so that exposure to x-ray is limited or an alternative test is arranged.

You don’t need any specific preparations prior to the X-Ray.
